No luck with homo's covering the car. I don't know how bad the car is yet, but the top and back end are shorter than the used be because the garage roof is about the height the car was. Not happy with all the destruction, but this truly is a moment to reflect on how bad it could have actually been, and realize how lucky we were. I can buy another car, and I can swap an engine. I've done it before.
I was seeing the news this morning and they showed there had been 1 death in the Atlanta area due to the weather.
I think you have the right attitude. Stuff can be bought again but life is precious. I don't want it to sound like I don't care but; you were really lucky. Imagine if that would've happened with some of your loved ones standing there.
I wish I could be of any help. I'm sure you don't need anything from my part but just the same; if you do, let me know.
You're an upstanding guy in my book

I'll post up some pics later- amazing what this tree did to three cars. We started cutting the tree up and throwing tarps up. We were standing on the tree where it laid across the garage and the bro-in-law looks down, pointed through a hole and said, "there's your car!" Unfortunately it was the RR tail light, which meant we were on the trunk, or on the tree which was on the garage which was on the trunk. :( Oddly enough I'd pulled it straight in, so everything up front is ok. Looks like I lost the back half, or maybe a little less.

Miata is in (under) the garage- under the big trunk section right in front of the truck. Couple of more pics for wow factor. Amazing to think my sis and broinlaw were in that truck five minutes before the tree fell. Everybody had good timing today.

I feel your pain; wile state side on R&R a few weeks ago, my Wife’s 2005 Kia had an unpleasant encounter with a tree (damn teenage drivers).
Since I had paid cash for the van, my wife decided to carry liability insurance only. Cost me $3,500 in used and aftermarket parts, and most of my vacation. But like you, I was just glad no one was hurt.
