AEM Lameness

AEM Lameness
So I have a UEGO wideband (which I love) and the tenths digit has just failed (the unit is 6months old...) - lame
So called local vendor - aparently AEM had restrictive policies on vendor returns so end user has to call AEM... -more lame
Called AEM (think voicemail hell - finally got an operator and told them I want to speak to tech support not tech support voicemail) was informed I'd have to ship the gague back to them, wait while they test it and maybe they'll send me a replacement if they find it faulty. -super lame
I then proposed strongly they ship a replacement and hold my cc number as guarantee I'd return the bad unit, after much annoyance no dice.. -uber lame
I'm going to the gap to meet Bell (BEGI) and have a tuning session with them and may not have my F***g wideband back in time for the session -is there somthing beyond uber to describe how f*n lame AEM is ?
So just a word to the wise, I asked and they have the same **** policy on their ECU's wow that'd be great... ECU fails and um no car in the meantime. I almost certain I could get a new ECU shipped to me same day if this were the same situation with BEGI/Vishnu (I'm running xede) or if this was an Inovate Wideband..

Update - Talked to Bell, they're bringing an LC1 (Inovate) portable unit (clips in to tailpipe) + they have much better OBD2 software which reads lean/rich conditions from OE (although I much prefer the Wo2) so no worries and my gague seems to work 80% of the time so now I'm jus gonna wait to ship it back till after tunin. AEM is still suck... Hope to see some of you at the gap - I'm in the '00 SE (wine red) will be at the pulloff at the entry to the gap with Bell folks on Sat/Sunday.

The Japanese after-market companies are pretty much a crap shoot for getting broken **** fixed. They are an ocean away and really don't give a ****. I have never heard of anybody speak well of GReddy, AEM or any of the others, when it comes to getting **** fixed under warranty.
After how shoddy I discovered the GReddy kit was (really the only thing that is decent is the turbo.) I really would rather put my money into small American after-market companies. Thats why I have a Tullos tech EBC and not a GReddy, because if the GReddy is broken I am out all that money.
I am sick of Chinese build quality matched with engrish translated Japanese manuals. Take a look at the GReddy kits manual. Thank god that stuff is so easy to install.
We should all try to when we can afford it to spend our money on good, honest american companies and screw cheap chinese ****! I am not saying throw your money away on over priced american stuff, but if they are nearly the same price you should consider perhaps which company will actually help you if something goes wrong.
EDIT: I am not saying all of GReddy and AEMS stuff is ****, it just sucks when it breaks. Also I am not saying all american companies are honest. There are scumbags everyware. Its just easer to deal with a local scumbag verses one across the Pacific Ocean. Just posting ahead of time to avoid a flame war.
