Kind of, yes.

It still had water flowing but had like 1" thick ice on the sides.

wow those are some really beautiful pictures. I love the beauty of nature, and personally feel that nothing man-made can be more beautiful and interesting. Looking forward to backpacking season next summer! Here is me coming back from a backpacking venture this past summer. It was lots of fun and even more fun when we thought we were lost for half a day ...
