Well, she'll be driving down there tomorrow! I'll be staying here till late August to finish work.

I moved to Florida almost 15 years ago. Mostly lived in Tampa area.

Bad:
-low levels of education out here
-not much to do compared to a real city
-I see a lot of kids driving around with 15 degrees of rear camber on their hondas lately
-not much E85 availability
-gas is more expensive than georgia or alabama

Good:
-no smog inspections, period, not even OBD2 scans or "peek under the car to see if the cat is there"
-no income tax
-no gun laws
-low cost of living generally- I'm renting a 2k sq ft house with a garage for about 1200 a month right now
-crime seems low
-the zombie thing was an isolated incident.
-economy good, I have been working steadily for several years now

If you you don't have a horribly regional profession like patent law, mining or fruit picking and you think you can get a job wherever she is moving to... then do it.
