It's been awhile since I built it but basically your gonna have to find a disposable camera that has a flash. Places that still process film just rip them open and process the film. (film, how friggen old is that?) The flash will have a battery to charge up the capacitor and a button to dump energy into the flash. I cut a small rectangle into the aluminum cigar tube and put a red gel inside. (You want to lightly flash your drunk friends --not get punched) Next I slid the guts of the flash unit into position. On the back I mounted a button that activates the flash. For the battery power I ran the wires to a phone jack plug that is glued to the cap of the cigar tube and ran the phone wire up my jacket sleeve and into my coat pocket. This way I could unplug the connection easily and could hold a drink or joint or whatever in that hand also. The battery charged up fairly fast so when I put on the sunglasses and flashed them their expressions were priceless.
