i'm stupid too. I had unbolted and removed the plugwires from my Tec3 DFU (two hefty coil pack things) and as I'm pulling it from the car to set it somewhere, I get to about the fender when it stops short and lands on the fender (TWO HEFTY COIL PACK THINGS). I forgot to disconnect the ground wire behind it.

A few weeks ago I swapped out a bad injector on my brothers 240sx. We drove it around for an hour, no leaks, ran GREAT. The next morning he wakes me up and says gas is shooting out of his exhaust. I'm like bullshit gas can't shoot out of your exhuast. Sure enough, he started it up and out the muffler came a solid spray of gas (he has a strait through muffler and no cat.) I had managed to cut the lower O-ring. In the 2-3 minutes we ran the car he went through a 1/4 tank of gas. Swapped on a new O-ring and everything is fine. Its what ya get when the labor is free

Similar experience when me and Brad tried installing injectors in the dark.

"Hey Scott lets install injectors"
<remove fuel rail and injectors>
"Hey you have a flashlight?"
"Nope"
"****"
<rail spacers drop under car and vanish>

On another note the car seems to be running pretty smoothly with 305s.. does need a re-tune on the fuel though. That and I need to crank it to 10psi w/ the MBC.

Great job leaving our superb installation techniques to the imagination.

My (ex) girlfriend called me one day to tell me she'd crashed my Citroen XM head on in deepest South Wales. Bearing in mind how complicated the XM is the insurance company wrote it off. Still, I got back what I paid for it!

And thankfully she wasn't hurt

I am lucky I think my wife is more careful with our stuff than even I am (which is hard to say). I trust her fully with everything, and even if she did break/hurt something I know that it would have just been on accident.

That's awesome... a four month old thread. Seriously, how do guys manage to do this? I don't think I've ever posted a thread on this forum that wasn't on the front page. This one must have been about 40 back.
