Help Calteg fix his garage door opener
Since miataturbo is, collectively, the most mechanically inclined group of people I know, I figured I'd try here.
About a week ago, the range on my garage door decreased from several houses away, to "put your nose on the door."
Chamberlain Liftmaster Professional 3/4hp
Here's what I've tried so far:
-New batteries in the remotes (didn't think this was the issue, since the symptoms are identical when using the hardwired system in my rearview mirror)
-Reset the motor itself and reprogram remotes
-Made sure safety sensors are aligned
-No blinking light codes present
-Garage door functions flawlessly when using the wall mount opener
Interestingly enough, distance doesn't seem to be affected when the garage door is already open, it will close normally. This seemed to suggest it's some sort of IR issue, but I don't see any sensor on the motor itself, and I believe this little guy is a receiver?
Thoughts?
