My Dad had an 86 LX 5.0 for about 8 years when I was way younger. Many memories of epic donuts and trolling people from stop lights. It was baby blue with dark blue interior. Would like another for daily. He now drives a Tundra daily and has a pink miata race car WTF lol. Would really like an SVO or older GT pre flush headlights with a big carbed 351 and auto.

LOL The original intake was purple (same as car). Painter did it before he told me, I hated it. Too much. I upgraded to the one you see and power coated it nice and normal.

Does your Paxton sound like it's eating gravel all the time? My buddy's Novi2000 has sounded like it had lunched all the teeth in the gear train for ~10 years now. He keeps saying they're all loud like that, but his sounds gnarly...

Last weekend I went to the local 1/8th mile track for the Fall Brawl. One class only allowed naturally aspirated motors and clutch assisted manual transmissions. (I guess that is getting popular these days).

An old friend of mine was racing an early 90s coupe with a carburated 349 stroker turning a T56 trans.

He went a 6.25 @ 110mph in the final round winning the final round against a 311 inch powered LX (can't remember if it was a hatchback or coupe) that ran 6.35 @ 107mph.

It was an awesome night of racing. Saw the most intense wheelstand ever in the radial tire class. Brought back some good memories at that old track.
