How tall are you Miata guys?

I'm not understanding how this cures the back pain but i'm in...foamectomy = back pain.
There are some big boys in here. I'm 6', 200lbs and fit mostly ok and with the foamectomy my head isn't in direct proximity of the roll bar. I needmore space though. Im not sure if I need a seat bolted to the floor. How much lower does that put you? It seems like thats about the only other option.

go buy some steel plate at home depot, drill some holes in it, attache the seat to it, and bolt it to the floor, if you can, try and angle the front of the seat up more... (personally i used sparco seat mounts and i bolted that directly to some steel plates, and bolted that directly to the floor, the front is as high as i could make it, and the back bottom of the seat is touching the carpet.) comfy as hell with the angle, like i said, i can see signal change without having lean forward, and putting the seat at the angle, the steering wheel isn't in my chest....
if you are in the los angeles area, you can come by and try out my seat... lol...

I'll be the ******* and tell you to search. Do a title search in all open forums for the word "tall" both here and at m.net. Lotsa people in your position. This question is asked often and the discussion is exactly the same in every thread. "Am I too tall for a Miata"... blah blah blah. No, you're not, but the stock seat doesn't help you any. There are a dozen ways to get you more room without going to an aftermarket seat. Just do a title search for the word tall... every thread on the subject has the exact same list of solutions.
I'm 6'4"... if you want to know how I conquered the Miata cockpit, do a username and keyword search for SAMNAVY and "seat".
Unsure if any of this applies to the NC... probably none, but you could ask in the NC forum at m.net what those guys do. Probably nobody on this forum could tell you anything specific about the NC cockpit and making it bigger.

lol... my phro aint that big... but yeah, i'm between 5'11 and 6, and my hair touches....
what kind of rollbar are you guys using? i'm thinking of picking up the hardcore bar, but i'm afraid it will be to close to my head... i have a bucket seat, with sparco side mounts bolted directly to my floor.. the back of the bucket touches the carpet, but it's more angled to help with posture etc...
any suggestions on a bar?

I need to get Charles Barkley to sit in my car for a picture, see what a truely large guy looks like in a tiny tic tac car. Not that tall, just big framed. Probably wouldn't look that goofy ^ lol

By doing the above changes, the fit (once in) is really good. It is still challenging to get in and out, especially with the top up.
Some compromises are worth it to be able to enjoy driving a Miata!

i know a guy whos almost 7' and weights like 350lbs at least. i should have him sit in my miata with full cage and hard top in a race seat that is barely enough for me (5' 11" / 120lbs)
that would be hilarious! and hes probably going to be at dyno place when im going to be tuning my car after its done. i should definitely bring camera to dyno!!
