I went back and forth on the number a few times for these, but I finally settled at $2000. So now I wait the 7 day wait.

Finally scored a full set of BNIB powerflex bushes all around for €400. Car is getting aligned and corner balanced this weekend. Progress at last

Don't try to create a schematic while you're inebriated and tired.

Seriously, just don't do it.

**** I hope today goes by fast. I DO NOT want to go to work this morning. Just not feeling it. The bed calls to me for another 4 or 5 hours of sleep.

I've been working since 4:30am... my eyes are still barely open.

You guys work on Fridays? I thought everyone got paid Fridays off during the summer?

No, some of us make productive contributions to society.

(snap.)

Sidebar: I drive the turbo car today for the first time in nearly a year. And holy crap, I had really forgotten how much better the off-boost throttle response was on this car as compared to my stock, naturally-aspirated vehicle!

(In fairness, this is mostly due to the MS vs. stock ECU, but I still have a solid datapoint which says that a turbocharged car has better throttle response than a non-turbo one.)

Today did NOT go by fast. Goddamn this day seemed like it would never end. I did however get fed well today, and won our monthly raffle and got a $50 gift card.

On another note, how do I not weigh 500lbs. Decided since I was spending the night in, I would order myself some Domino's. I ordered an Italian sandwich, bread bowl pasta and a cinnastix, and ate all of it. Actually a typical dinner.

Who is winning the auction on it right now? I know someone on this forum was the high bidder a few days ago.

Also SJMARCY would say you are wrong about throttle response. He has used tape and string to prove over and over again you can not beat naturally aspirated throttle response.

That's over 1600 calories of you only ate one serving of everything. Link

2522 calories (not including my big glass of chocolate milk), in about 5 minutes. GO ME! Somehow I eat like that and still maintain 170-180lbs at 6'. Oh well, I will spend most of the afternoon and night tomorrow out in the woods hiking and exploring for a hidden artesian well located somewhere off the trail in a local nature preserve. It will be burned away, plus I doubt I will eat much tomorrow.

My ghetto fabrication skills have failed me. For whatever reason when I did my rebuild a few years ago, I went with a tiny K&N, 3.5'' flange to fit over the larger lip on the AFM, but for whatever reason I only got the one that was 3'' long. I purchased another one last week, a 7'' long version, hoping to simply replace it in the same location, but K&N must have poor quality control, because this one has a flange roughly 1/4'' larger in diameter and will not clamp down on the AFM. I tried building up the AFM lip with several materials, hacking up and old AEM intake from my ricer Honda days, but nothing I do can adapt the 3.5'' filter to the correct AFM size. The actual flange I need to put the filter on is really only around 2.5''. I'll just have to live with the old filter until I get the MSPnP in the next few weeks and build a proper intake, without the AFM.

Someone named jjakek. Bidding has actually been pretty quiet the past few days. It jumped to $2,600 within the first 24 hours, then slowly inched up to $3k where it sits now. But there are a total of 73 watchers, of whom only 10 have actually bid, so I expect that there will be a snipefest at the end.

Bidding ends tomorrow at 10:17 AM Pacific time / 1:17 PM Eastern.

Well, it's like my sig on the other forum says:
Turbochargers improve throttle response. You step on the throttle, and it responds with boost. That's an improvement.
In all honesty, this is more a testament to how much the stock 1.6 ECU sucks. When the engine is cold, climbing any sort of an incline is absolutely riduculous- there's a dead spot in the throttle from 10% to 90%, and then the engine suddenly remembers that it's supposed to be producing power and wakes up.

They really need to do Kirk vs. Picard. It's the oldest argument in this history of the bloody internet.

Are you getting another Miata? And why no roll bar?

Don't violate the sanctity of eBay. Joe, if I win, your car is getting parted out.

I already have another Miata. This one has just been sitting around collecting dust for the past year. See here: https://www.miataturbo.net/insert-bs-here-4/all-has-happened-before-45377/

In all seriousness, it's because I'm 6'2". No rollbar that could fit under the stock top would prevent my skull from being split open in a rollover, and with a helmet on, I fail the broomstick test by several inches.

Uhm, ok. That's kind of an odd thing to say.

Wait... You're jjakek? Just out of curiosity, did you know it was my car before you bid on it?
