I remember now why I used to post on m net. It's easy to post and feel like a goddamn genius! People ask such stupid questions, and get so many stupid, uninformative, incorrect answers. Not that that was enough then or now to make me want to continue posting there. Just making an observation.

Brain's story reminded me of a personal incident. A douchebag dude was dangerously darting through traffic last week in a 2-door Accord and nearly wrecked me in my truck. He repeatedly caused others to brake and swerve as well due to his aggressiveness. I kept my distance and followed him about 6 miles to his subdivision but didn't follow him in. I'll find his house later. Served cold.

Son of a bitch.
Sold these ******* vases and of course the ******* guy just had to be from Spain. Does he have ANY IDEA how expensive its going to be for me to ship these overseas??

I just got off the phone with eBay and they told me to try and complete the deal. Just tack on extra to cover the shipping and send him an invoice. I almost think I'd rather cancel the sale. Zero feedback eBayer from Spain calling me "Mr. Vashthestampede" through emails. lol
Also just found out that eBay owns craigslist. At least that's what she said.

Nope. I'm willing to ship worldwide. 25% of my transactions are international. But on something like this I at least need to work out the shipping details BEFORE they bid. Shipping is going to be through the roof, which doesn't bother me, but he has to be willing to play ball and send the full amount before I do a damn thing. He's got till Monday to figure it out.
My client only wanted $600 for the vases so at $1000 we did well. That's assuming the sale goes through. I'll tack on another $100 for packing them, so as long as he pays everything ends well.

I'm not sure if the link I posted before is working. This was the item number for them though. 110739548163
They are 37" Chinese Cloisonne Copper Vases (pair). I actually thought they were worth closer to $2k myself, but after a few months at that price I slowly lowered them to $999.99 and they sold. Well, at least they might have sold. lol

Thanks man. I've actually updated it a little since then.
I think presentation is a big part of selling on eBay. It doesn't matter to everyone and pertain to every item, but for certain ones I think it does. I just try to keep everything clean and have as many details laid out for potential buyers as I can.
Sometimes its hard to find something to say about a piece. Hence the "dragons and birds fighting" caption. lol

Having a mild allergy to alcohol sucks! I love to get drunk like anybody else, but I always pay for it. I get itchy all over, my skin gets all tender and almost sore feeling, and my chest gets a bit heavy feeling, like I'm wearing a tight vest or something. Oh well, I can deal. Drink on.

Who among you have replaced your soft top? I really want a HT, but after the awesome weather today, I sort of rediscovered the joy of being able to drop the top at any time. I currently have some sort of sunfast, fabric 1 piece top with no zipper and glass window. I assume it is Robbins, but I don't know for sure. It is falling apart big time. I am completely unsure as to what I want out of a new top, for lack of experience with aftermarket tops. Do I want vinyl or canvas, do I want zipper or no zipper, do I want plastic or glass? Pretty sure I want glass and zipper, but not sure if I would be OK with the downgrade from canvas to vinyl to save $150-$200. Canvas is so easy to care for, while vinyl needs attention to not dry out and crack and rot away. Do any of you vinyl guys have input?

I would just get a hard top and take it off whenever you feel like having a convertible.

If you aren't sure about going ST or not, how about a ST for $190 new?

These things are probably worth more than I sold them for, but ohh well. I talked with the owner yesterday and he's happy with the outcome. Especially seeing that he got them for free!!
Just got the PayPal message on my phone that I've received the payment, including the extra $50 I asked for packing materials and my time to pack them.
Now to get on the phone with eBay to make sure its all legit.
