why do UPS stores have 3D printers?

UPS now lets you use 3D printers in nearly 100 US stores

Because 2D is no longer sufficient, but 4D would be too much.

I mean, we don't ask why they have 2D printers? That seems normal and obvious to us. While I agree that it's probably a tad too early for this service to be profitable / sustainable for them outside of the Santa Clara Valley and DUMBO right now, the underlying logic seems sound.

Anyone remember back in the early 80s when UPS introduced a then-revolutionary service which allowed you to transmit a paper document, electronically, across the country in just minutes? Sadly (for them), the FAX machine was invented almost immediately after they rolled out the service.

yes. this.

I could maybe understand Kinkos having one.

But I've never had the boss tell me: hey, go run down to kinkos and print up this financial report in 3d; colligated.

Neither have I, but that's mostly because I'm not a bitch who does my boss' 3d printing for him. Name: 2iSA8Os.png

Of course you are not the bitch who does the boss' 3d printing, the union would write you up if dared to do something outside your job description.

My interaction with the franchised shipping stores has involved them not allowing me to return ship an item in the original shitty packaging that damaged it in the first place...because 'we cannot accept that because of the poor packaging.' Me: 'I know! That's why I am returning it!'

I cant keep up with all the different names for electronic music

I like a lot of stuff that I call dubstep that people like to say isnt "real" dubstep. This makes sense because when substep was new (and "real", I guess) I thought it was terrible. So I guess I dont like dubstep.

But anyway,
Ive been listening to this recently

I've been listening to the goa and now goa-psy channel on DI for years. Goa-Psy Trance on Digitally Imported - DI Radio

I've been over this exact subject once before. Stainless has been found to be superior over most forms of 3D printing

Doesnt shapeways have all kinds of 3d material 3d printing at this point? I keep getting spam for their new materials. Last thing i remember was 3d printing using gold.

I'll ask around and see if one of the guys still has the program. Of course, Shapeways probably does not accept FANUC G code

I enjoy goa-psy. Unfortunately DIfm has gone down the hill for goa.

Pandora has a pretty good collection though.
Stations:

Infected Mushroom
1200 Micrograms
Hallucinogen
Astrix
Space Buddha
Astral Projection

Few additions not on Pandora,
Ra, SUN Project

Been trying to find the song in this video with no luck.

Oh well heres few more.

How many "post videos for music that maybe two people on the site care about" threads do we need?
