Around here i lock my doors. Theres people that will go in your car just to **** on the seats and leave. If someone goes in my car and sees that theres nothing to steal they will slice the top just to be an *** about it.

Heisenberg and Schrödinger are driving down the road when a cop pulls them over.
The cop asks Heisenberg "Do you know how fast you were going back there?"
Heisenberg replies "No, but I can tell you exactly where I was."
The cop begins to be suspicious and proceeds to search the car. Upon opening the trunk he exclaims "Hey, you have a dead cat back here."
To which Schrodinger replies "Well now I do!"

Did you not read the joke? It clearly states that "The cop begins to be suspicious..." In the US, a reasonable suspicion is sufficient justification for warrantless search of a motor vehicle (commonly referred to as the "Automobile exemption" to the 4th Amendment by the courts.)

TIL I know the daughter of Roise the Riveter. Sadly she just passed.
Norman Rockwell Museum is saddened to learn of the passing of Mary Doyle Keefe, the original model for Norman Rockwell's iconic "Rosie The Riveter" painting, at age 92.
Ms. Keefe was a neighbor of Rockwell's in Arlington, Vermont, when he called on the 19-year old telephone operator to pose for the illustration that appeared on the cover of "The Saturday Evening Post" on May 29, 1943. The artist apologized for making her arms and shoulders much larger than they were in-person, but Keefe seemed to take it in stride. Her image became a symbol for millions of American women who went to work during World War II. The original painting is part of the permanent collection at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

I know sure how the officer could take away from "No, but I can tell you exactly where I was." that: it is a probably a fact that there is a dead cat in the trunk.
*you need probable cause to search a car, the speeding already established the RAS to pull Heisenberg over. PC is held to slightly higher standard than RAS. From: Brinegar v. US -- Probable cause still requires "a reasonable ground for belief of guilt."

that's what im saying. Unless youre leaving dialouge of of your story, this cop stepped well out of bounds to search the car based on a loose hunch alone.

Of course, this was in Austria in the 1930s, when the market for dead cats was more tightly regulated, with steep licensing fees and large barriers to entry. We, in present-day America, sometimes fail to appreciate how easy dead cats are to come by in our society.

I know the guy who holds the world record frog jump at Caleveras. He was a 6th grade teacher at my elementary school, John Sutter Elementary ("Home of the Frog Team"). Every year they hold a frog jump and the winners go to Caleveras to compete. I was in 5th grade there when he set the record.
