Don't most people do this? We do it for our kid because if we don't, he'll wear the same 3 shirts every 3 days.

I don't do top/bottom for shirts though. I fold my tshirts in thirds, then in half, then stack them all sideways in the drawer. Thus I can select from the shirt file at any point to pick something.

I always place clean shirts on the far right. After many months, I cull the left end of the drawer for crap I never wear (leaving frequently worn out-of-season items, of course).

 

It's amazing how frail Levi's are when a 4 year old wears them.

Does filling a cavity on baby teeth make any sense?

 

Depends how close he/she is to loosing it. If it gets to the nerve it will be just as infected and/or painful as a permanent tooth. Of course you could just have it pulled as I did as a child because we didn't have painless dentistry in those days and I could not stand drilling.

 

I think it's a scam. Trust no one.

Why expose the kid to the trauma of a drill if the tooth doesn't hurt. If it starts bothering him in the next 5 years before it falls out on it's own, then deal with it?

My 3 year old got a cavity on the front of her tooth. The dentist was able to use some sort of sealant to prevent the cavity from getting worse and "painted" it white so she wouldn't have a black hole in her front teeth. There was no pain. Total cost was $152. I think it was worth it. If your kid has a cavity, you should probably take them to the dentist just see what the options are.

 

It's great encouragement to take care of teeth in the future. As olderguy says, infection is a risk. And (believe it or not) an adult tooth coming in under is not guaranteed and at age 3 not possible to detect. In that case (for rear teeth mostly) the baby tooth stays there for the long haul.

 

It's the dentist that says he has a cavity. (Dentist provides anonymous xray with random blobs of grey proving beginnings of cavity to skeptical parent.) Kid has no pain, currently enjoys going to the dentist and bushing every night.

I hated the dentist grown up cause PAIN of drill.

 

 

FWIW I had 2 cavities in elementary school (non baby teeth) (i like candy) and never had any pain. But you could see them with a dentists mirror.

 

I am nearing my 56th birthday, and have never had a cavity.

well damn. I was working out today. Banged two 80lbs dumbbells together but made sure to keep my ring finger between them. Nail just went *POP* didn't even build up blood under it, just gushed forward the second I looked at it. so at least I didn't have to deal with the heartbeat under the nail.
Went up to the lobby to get something to cover it so I could keep going. While I stood there asking for a band aid I almost collapsed. kinda weird to have a late response like that but the staff guided me towards a sofa and wrapped me up while I got my senses together. Top staff.

Right now I'm afraid I may have broken the bone, finger is wayyyy more swollen and numb than the last 2 times I lost a nail on that finger. Seeing the doc tomorrow. Good times ahead

 

Maybe you should, like, stop losing nails on that finger?
