It just occurred to me that I forgot to make an important entry into the transmitter log. That's now been rectified.

If I have a remote network switch with fixed known devices on it, how do I secure that switch or line such that someone can't simply plug their computer into the switch and access my network (or unplug the uplink cable from the switch and plug it directly into their computer)....
Maybe a better question: is there a way that I can add a device between the router and the switch which restricts which MAC addresses are allowed to communicate with the router? Is there a better way to do this which I'm not thinking about?
Would it be common that I could configure a single port on my router (RT-AC68U) to only accept traffic from specific MAC addresses while not restricting devices on the rest of the network?
Locking down to mac address is not very useful because it's trivial to change the mac address. The one assigned to the computer is simply programmed into non-volatile storage on the board, when the computer boots the OS reads that ROM and stores the address in the ethernet chip. There's nothing to stop it storing a different address that's user-specified, and most OSes include the ability to do this. Mac addresses are assigned to hardware for convenience of making the network function, they are not a security feature.
If you want to lock down a switch to prevent random users from plugging into it and using it then you need a feature like 802.1x. This works similarly to the authentication protocols on WiFi, in that the PC has to cryptographically authenticate itself to the switch (usually backed up by a server somewhere) before the switch will allow traffic to pass. You won't find that in $50 switches, but some of the lower end smart switches from brands like Netgear support it. Stuff aimed at small businesses, costing a few hundred bucks.

I started doing live YT shows during the 2 1/2 month lock down, and it went very well.
Three guys talking about automobiles, technical tidbits, a few laughs, used car pricing, just car related stuff from respective domiciles.
We did over 25 shows, had interesting guests, and had a good time doing it.
(we were told to keep the shows under 30 minutes, but pretty much every single one of them exceeded 2.5 hours, with one that went beyond 190 minutes.)

The ring light is a quick DIY job, with LED strips and precision cut forex, using an exacto blade.
Now, we are gearing up to shoot a full blown car show, backed by two production companies and two digital media promoting firms.
There are some pretty wild ideas, but we will be using conventional elements like comparing and testing similar, competing models, etc.
The garage will of course be featured as the main premise. Track driving and testing will al be done at the local F1 track.
If you have pets and/or carpet, a Dyson vacuum is a must. Finally bought one on Saturday. I had just vacuumed with our old one Thursday evening.
It was horrific the amount of dust, silt, and animal hair that came out of the carpet.
I never imagine I would spend $400 on a vacuum cleaner that was already $100 off.
We have a 10 year old Samsung. It was recommended for pet owners. There were 3 dogs in the house at the time.
The thing is ultra powerful, the only downside is the size of the canister. Fills up very fast.
I used to have a Roomba (pet model) wander around the place every other day (in addition to regular vacuuming), but it could not keep up.
