You'd think if one had a need to castrate rats on a large scale it would be done chemically, and I'd think if one where to castrate rats chemically it would just be added to their food or given via a shot, not requiring a full time employee.

I wouldn't actually want to castrate rats full time, I think I'd want that on more of a part time thing. I was more curious as to how you found out the job exists in the first place.

Indeed. I'm not saying I sympathize with his cause, just that if I understood that the movie was very loosely based on historical events I would have better understood a lot of the symbolism. 5th of November, tunnel under parliament, Guy Fawkes masks, etc.

Besides though, The Church of England basically told Catholics "Hey, we're going to change something and make a new religion, and you will like it, and you don't play along, we'll kill you."
