For some reason I have always associated those with depression or feeling depressed. I think just by simply looking out my window and seeing one in my driveway would make me want to end my life. I picture a bored old couple traveling the country, boring roads, day in and day out, stopping to see the worlds largest ball of twine. I'd rather cut my wrist.

Me, I bought a small tow behind. I've been camping with the same group of guys in the same spot for nearly 30 years. We hang out, drink beer, listen to tunes and play board games. The camper is simply a step up from tents. It used to be just the guys, but now that we're all married and have kids, the camper is more convenient.
If you're buying a camper, you gotta be fussy. Any leaks, no matter how minor mean, walk away. Anything not working (fridge, A/c, etc) means knock a grand off the top, as the things are expensive, and a royal pain to install. Fixing them is usually not an option. Missing parts mean they didn't take care of stuff, so expect problems.

< is seriously impressed that you got it.
******* awesome, it was. Actually, it was kind of weird. The venue itself was much nicer than last years. Instead of a crappy nightclub with ******* bouncers who confiscated every leatherman, pocketknife, and other multi-tool that came through the door, it was in a really nice old theater downtown. And Molly turned 21 this year, so she was allowed to stay in the building. Of course, this meant that some of the things which made the last one most memorable (eg: 700 nerds all crowded in a parking lot during intermission, listening to a 20 year old girl play rock covers on a ukulele in a concert-in-exile from the loading dock because she wasn't allowed inside the 21-and-up venue) were lost.
I managed to take precisely one photo that did not suck with my phone:
And quite a lot of photos that did suck.
Grant Imahara, Felicia Day, Wil Wheaton, and a lady whose name I forget:
Adam Savage (can you spot the ironic thing in this photo?):
Paul, Storm, and MC Frontalot:
Molly Lewis (Free Molly!):
The whole gang (Jason Finn, of the Presidents of the United States of America, at far right. He downed an entire bottle of wine during the show. Dammit Liz at far left, background.):
