if you're not familiar, it is small and already contains two cats with social behavior issues like mine.

I have been active all my life.
I played football, (not the ninny, helmet/padding variety, the real thing), I did mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing (both disciplines, and I can kick anyone's *** on or off trail) and serious hiking.
Now that I had to go through life threatening back surgery, I watch football (again, the real thing).
It happens to be poetry in motion, and I enjoy the hell out of it.

As a devout atheist, I also happen to know too well about what's a real opiate for the masses.

Watching the beautiful game is no sin.
Sending a bunch of clueless young guys to die in the name of boosting the economy, on the other hand, for instance, is.

My GF has two cats, one is dominant but very friedly, the other is basically on Ecstasy. We've been holding her dominant cat and my bitch-hell-cat while they his at each other, then seperating them. They rotate from the bedroom/bathroom to the living room. How long should I let this go on before we let them get hostile?

Let them fight. Chances are, it will last only a few seconds, and they will have it sorted out.

If it keeps going on for more than a minute, you'll have to separate them. Prepare to be bloodied.

I'm not surprised you'd get bloody if you tried to serrate a cat.

None of these cats have claws so it's not like they can do any real damage.

Well, you need to prevent serious injury. Cats can really mess each other up if it gets going for too long. Better some scratched arms than a $500 vet bill.

mgeoffriau I caught that too late! Serrated cat would be pretty messy.

No claws? Let them have at it. Film the event.

Oh, I'd never let them fight it out, I love them too much.

ok here are our two cats in a nutshell:

1. riley the big one with a 38 inch reach. sleeps all day. whines for food. big fat lap cat. usually very mellow. strangers can walk in the house and he will look up and go back to sleep most of the time. bring out the cat carrier and he'll BOLT for a hiding place. occasionally he will do this thing where he follows the other cat around just to get up in her business. it starts out innocently: he'll walk up to her sleeping and start licking her on the head (aww) but after a minute or so she starts to get annoyed and he will slowly reach up with a single paw and bitchslap her. she responds by rearing up in what we call "tall kitty" stance (standing) and it's swatfest.

2. abby is a pudgy perpetual kitten. when we first got her (3.5 yrs ago via air cargo from seattle--from a friend/former daddy), she was timid and scared of everything. she's still a LITTLE scared if someone new comes to the house but she warms up after a few visits. ie braineack is accepted now. she's not socially broken and is very affectionate. she has a belly rubs routine whenever she is on carpet. walk over, flops down and bares her fuzzy belly demanding belly rubs--you best rub it or else. then after a few minutes of vigorous belly rubs, she times out and bites your hand. she doesn't bother the other cat. she doesn't G A F about Riley. she just wants to get cozy sleep and lots of attention for short periods at a time.

the answer to your question:

when one of them leaves the house, they forget how to live together. abby hisses at riley when he comes within 5 feet of her. she gets over it after a day when he's the one to leave. it sometimes takes a week if she's gone to the vet. during that week, she'll go freakshow and they will fight at 4am and make that noise we all know and love as "holy fucck there is a rabid banshee on the rag in my house!!" i think it's spelled "MYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRREEEOOOORRRR RR--RORRRRR-ROEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!" only imagine it increasing in volume and your ears bleeding.

sometimes even furniture moves when they chase each other. freaks me out.

and then a few days later everything is fine and they are laying on the bed spooning in the shape of two quotation marks (or commas).

Help with my radar detector, please. It uses a phone cable and the head broke off. How the hell can I get a new head on it, without a crimp tool? Should I just buy another cable and splice them together? I'm trying to do as little work as possible.

I wouldn't **** time away trying to jerry-rig something that'll fail, check eBay for a replacement.

If it is just a normal phone cord you could replace it with any other phone cord. The problem is do we know if Valentine uses standard wiring order. I would probably just search for a replacement cord on ebay or such.

Edit.
Is this what you need?

No, it's hard wired. I have the pin-outs, I'm going to get an extension-cable type phone cord and use that, soldered together. Any tips on striping insulation from those tiny-*** wires?
