I really liked my '93 Dodge Dakota. Small 8, automatic. I drove the hell out of it (including some light towing) and it just kept going. Rust finally brought it down, but it still ran as well as ever.
Replaced the rotor only after it was worn down flush with the plastic, and changed the plugs when the electrodes were flush with the insulators. Never put a hose or belt on the thing in 13 years. Oil changes every 5-6k miles whether it needed it or not, using only the cheapest no-name stuff I could get. Did a brake job once in 120k miles.

I'd take that one over the Pacer my friend had. He jacked up one side to change the shocks (or struts, I forget). He left it that way overnight, and when he set it back down, it rode high on that side for 3 days. It wasn't even a convertible, so not one redeeming feature.
And only godless commies hate lettuce.

So tonight I went to pick my gf up from her house. While I was waiting for her to get ready, this random old guy walks up to the side of my car (mind you I'm in her driveway) and starts talking to me about my car. Saying how much he likes it, loves the wheels, etc etc. I figure, its one of her neighbors and he likes my car. So my gf comes out and im like "alright im gonna get going, take it easy and thanks again for the compliments." Anyways, he starts to walk away and I look at her like "who the **** is this guy?" but I didn't say anything. She quietly says "who was that?" and I said I dunno. At this point, the guy has to be at least 30-40 feet away but I dont see how he could hear any of us. Then he turns around, and says "I just wanted to admire your car" or some ****. His attitude was weird when he said it, like in a retaliatory kind of way. But neither of us said anything derogatory or gave him attitude.
