Whatever happened to getting decent service? I paid big bucks last fall to have all the leaks in my PoS Jeep fixed. Oil pan, tranny pan, diff. The fact they any of them leak is testament to how much this vehicle sucks in the first place. Do not EVER get a Jeep Liberty unless you like fixing **** that shouldn't have to be fixed.

Anyway, I just finished an oil change. Crawling under, I notice the entire underside of the engine bay is dripping oil. Worse by far than when it went in. Looks like it's spraying out all around the pan. Not a little drip; it is litterally dripping off everything under the front of the car

About the only good thing I can say is that it keeps the damn thing from rusting faster than a Pinto.

OD of the nipple at the throttle body is 5mm.

That said, I must admit that Cutty Sark is actually not a horrible scotch for the price.

Just realized last night as I watched Mythbusters that I've drawn some kind of affinity between Jamie Hyneman and Joe Perez. It's not that I think I'm watching Joe Perez on Mythbusters, or that Jamie Hyneman is responding to me on mt.net...just an affinity.

Maybe it's just that I can't help but read Joe Perez's post in Jamie Hyneman's voice.

I am trying to figure out why I have a headache this morning. Is it the paint and bondo dust, or last nights vodka tonics?

It's not that often that Google Images fails me, but "Walrus wearing a Hawaiian shirt" didn't turn up any useful results. My planned response here doesn't really work without that visual...

At last year's W00tStock in San Diego, there was a guy in the audience dressed like Jamie Hyneman. I mean, it was a dead-on costume, all the way down to the shoes. The actual Jamie Hyneman made some amusing remark about this from the stage, which I'm sad to say I can't remember.

I suppose it's all a matter of interpretation. I've been making a deliberate effort to expand my whiskey palate of late, driven in large measure by the realization that Southern Comfort was a fluke, that it is not representative of all brown liquors from the American southeast, and that not all American whiskeys / bourbons deserve to be condemned for it.

Taste-wise, it reminds me of some of the more moderately prices ($40-50) scotches. It's nowhere near as harsh as, say, Johnny Red, and it doesn't seem to present any serious after-effects the next day, even when consumed straight in a relatively large quantity.

If you find yourself in the position of saying "I want a full handle of scotch, and I don't want to pay more then $25 for it," you could do worse. But if you just can't get over that label which makes the bottle look like it belongs on the shelf of someone's impoverished grandfather...

I just bought a new radiator support and bumper support for my car. I spent more than I wanted, but will be so glad not to have to look at that mangled mess anymore.

Free as in "Oh, I have found this phone lying abandoned upon the ground, and I shall take it"?

Except for the monthly bill. That's the only reason why I don't have a smart phone. Checking my email on the go is not worth 80-110 dollars a month to me. I told myself I have to wait until I have a legit and viable reason to get one.

I was paying $85 a month for my iPhone5 through AT&T. Now that I opened a company account, it's $200 a month for unlimited talk & text with 6gb to share between 3 phones.

The phone is for more than just checking emails. This phone has literally changed my life and our business. I HATE apple everything, but I swear by this phone.

It annoys me that, in the US, we have for some reason adopted this philosophy that the phone and the carrier are one, and that the cost of the phone shall be subsidized by the carrier in exchange for a higher monthly rate and a multi-year service contract.

In Europe, they don't have that philosophy. You buy the phone. You buy the SIM card. These are two unrelated transactions.

On the plus side, T-mobile allows you to just purchase a phone, and then acquire service from them on a monthly basis at a lower price than most others.

To elaborate on what Joe is saying - Paying $30/month with t-mobile here for unlimited text/data. I'm a happy customer.

Dibs on the idea of a major automaker aligning itself with a major gasoline vendor, such that you can buy said cars very cheaply (perhaps for only a few hundred dollars) at any gas station.

These cars shall be rendered incompatible with any other fuel supplier (eg: their fuel tank will contain a valve which will only unlock after a successful handshake with the pump), forcing you to buy gasoline only from the approved stations. Attempting to modify the car to overcome this limitation shall constitute a breach of the car's EULA, and will expose the owner to civil prosecution.

Actually, this would be a very good idea indeed for one of the Chinese automakers presently establishing a presence in the US.

haha, actually its a 4S hand-me-down from my brother.

I pay 40 a month on my unlimited plan with AT&T.

I also fixed my phone, those sneaky bastards at apple that designed their own screw must have never saw my knife coming.

Imagine, I would have paid a "genius" to disconnect and reconnect the damn battery.

That sounds like the upcoming iCar from Apple.

Having said that, I would be the first to join up with a (USA) carrier that didn't amortize the cost of the phone into the service contract. In fact, I've bought the last two smart phones outright so ended up paying for them twice. I'm so bad with money.
