Awesome deals. My friend saw them at Wally World and ask if I wanted one. I was like "bitch get out my face!" They are sold out now.

B&N is cancelling orders. Might be for those who ordered more than one.

Really?!?!?!

************!!!!

I just ordered 2 16gb's like 3 mins ago after I saw the link on here. lol

Last night I was able to get to the checkout screen for HP.com but I didnt place the order. The website had error pages pop up left and right, not to mention the homepage says "sold out" right on it. I figured that would be a stupid move so I passed.

Same here (desktop, laptop, iphone), but I figure if I sell one for the price I got for both of them, maybe I'll keep the 2nd one for around the house stuff.

I need something small I can carry around to view my notes, PDFs, etc, while I work on cars. My laptop is not meant for that.

As long as I can view PDFs, .xls documents, plain .txt documents and browse the web with it, I have no other plans for it and no apps I need. I'm not buying so that I can figure out what I can do with it, I know what I need it for and it should be able to do these things right out of the box. Btw, I have a 92 Gameboy that still plays the games I bought back then...no updates or support for it.

No because (1) it runs Palm OS which has non HP support and (2) smart people will post a guide showing to load Droid in a step by step manner. Oh and (3) it's cheap.

BTW, I so far have no problems with the Palm OS. The controls are intuitive and fast. I let a buddy check it out this morning. He has an ipad. His comment was "It's very ipad-like".

Got an email from bn.com

Due to unexpected customer demand for this item, our inventory was depleted prior to your order being processed so we are unable to fulfill this item as requested. Consequently, we have canceled your order and you will not be billed for this amount.

Lame.

I ordered a 16gb @ 6am CT Sunday morning from bestbuy.com, it just shipped. They were sold out an hour later, lucky I was awake that early. Surely there aren't any left out there... My guess is that in a couple of weeks, they'll start showing up barely used for $75 on craigslist and ebay. There's no way they're going to keep holding their silly inflated prices on ebay.

I read a report that said one online vendor had maybe 400 in stock, they got over 20,000 orders within a few minutes.

something tells me that people are willing to buy tablets if the price is right.
