Hustler - Actually we don't! But we are liberal enough to strongly support your right to! Of course now that the city of Portland has elected a wacko openly gay far left mayor I guess I can't say that. Damn.

You know. Every time I come back to this thread that picture is the 1st thing on the screen. It kills me every time I see it. God that thing was hideous.

When we were getting ready to cook our pork loin last night, I couldn't help but think of this thread. I went ahead and sliced it into 1" medallions before cooking, so your outcome wasn't possible.

Williamette Vally FTW! God, did I just say that? Did a nice trip a couple years back. Flew to SF, watched the Cardinals beat up on the locals and Bonds go 0-4. Drove up the coast for a couple of days, dumped the rental and flew back from Portland. Good trip.

Stein,

Ok I was wrong. The earlier av was better. Sleep is over rated!

SF to Seattle along the coast is an incredible drive if you don't mind all the little towns slowing you down. Hope you took the time to see the redwoods. Sure it's just big trees but it's friggin unreal big trees.

Hustler,

NW is pretty good wine country but it's also the Micro Brew capitol of the world! I'm more beer and pretzel than wine and cheese.

Having traveled the world a little I can't stand being surrounded by wineries that all think they are producing manna from heaven. Every mediocre winery expects to get $20 for a bottle of hooch. In France you can buy extremely highly rated, regionally regulated and quality tested wines for 10-12 bucks. Good table wine for 1/2 that.

Let me know if you are going to be in the area! Love to put a face with the e-thugging!!!
