Just keep thinking about it man. Sounds counter intuitive, but just constantly keep thinking about that moment. You'll get used to it eventually and it won't bother you.

And with that sort of conditioning, who knows... your sharp thinking could save someone else. I know way too many that would choke severely in a high stress environment. Relish in the fact you're a quick thinker on your feet and you rushed to help. You'd be surprised how many people would stand by and watch or lock up, or panic. It's a scenario all too common in the military.
