My cyclocross, frame is a Chinese titanium copy of Cannondale CAADX, running on Ultegra parts. Got it second hand for nice price. Altho it needs better front brake asap. Bought cheap bike two years ago just to see if I still like pedaling before pulling the trigger. Like the titanium alot, really soft feel. After testdriving friends fixie I got a strong urge to buy a one as third bike.

I am about to either buy Flo 30s, Flo 60s, or Carbonzone 50mm deep wheels. The Flos are 25mm wide and I'll probably end up with the 30s because they are only $550 shipped, only 1575g, and the "zippiest" of all wheels listed. The 60s are cool but I'm not sure that I'll benefit from the aero wheels, although they are 1780g which is the same as the Mavic Aksium Race wheels I have now. The Chinese carbon wheels are $450 shipped but I worry about the brake surface and they are only 21mm wide. Any thoughts from the well versed? I want a wider wheel for increased handling and stability because **** gets kind of hairy in the group rides and I want more cornering confidence.

Then again, maybe this Spooky is the best bike because of it's craftsmanship, reduced cost compared to the Parlee, and it's built by a crazy socialist.
But there's also this bike that's built on a $99 frame with affordable but quality components and because it's affordable just about anyone can own it:

Pics are all dead on that thread so I'll just list them. $99 Sette frame from Pricepoint, $100 Nashbar fork, Neuvation poverty wheels, not sure what he gave for the Rival groupset, PRO post, not sure which saddle or cockpit. Supposedly a great bike and I have no doubt considering I have a Sette poverty bike, so poverty that it came iwth 105 shifters/brakes/crank/deraileurs/BB/cables and housing. Most any bike you buy for under $3500 will have FSA crank, awful brakes like Tektro, and garbage cables. My parents have great Cannondale carbon bikes but the brakes, shifters, and basically anything you touch feels like **** because it's the cheapest **** the manufacturer can put on it.
