I have those in black and am considered the cheapskate. Most people in my riding group use Ergo 2 or 3, but who really cares!

The hotline said Bangert Island was open. I'm not sure I agree with their definition of 'open'.

Jesus, I'm glad my trails never look like that. Lol
Quick pic from one of my recent rides. This is up on Taos Pueblo land (rez riding) with my native buddy. There is no "trail" here, it's actually straight up a burn line from controlled burns, and the ride down was basically a drainage ditch from erosion. Was gnar gnar. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1370294322 |
I bought a handle bar mount for the GoPro, waste of $20. Getting a helmet strap before next ride. Missed some fun stuff from Saturday because of the camera slipping and facing up every big bump.

Yeah, it needs to be mounted to the body IMO and not the bike. Even if the camera did not slip, it would have been the most jarring footage and unwatchable unless it was some baby's ass smooth single track.

I'd buy a 949 jersey...

949 Racing cycling jersey. Good idea. They won't be club cut though. They'll be euro cut. That means tapered. So the free-ride, baggy short guys probably won't want one. If you want a jersey that won't flap in the wind, we'll have you covered. Depending on what they cost, I may start a new thread here for a GB of sorts.
If enough of you guys really want a cheeseburger cut and fork over a deposit, I guess I could be talked into it (bleh). Probably gray mostly, with some big orange graphics somewhere. How about this for a logo: "That is how I ride, flat out." Anybody have the skills to design it and format the file for screen printing? |
I can recommend Voler and Jakroo for custom apparel. Voler is cheap and lasts forever. Jakroo is fast and their stuff is nice.
Emilio you still training with power? |

Emilio you still training with power? I don't remember what my one hour wattage was back in the day. 370 or so I think. I got up to about 310w/hr last fall. |

Garmin 500 always on the bike. I start using the PT wheel during interval workouts when I start getting fitter. Took too much time off over the winter so I'm still building up base so that I can start training hard again. Goal is to be fit for the first cross races in September.

whats not to love about cx? the only people I know that don't like cx are strong road riders that don't like being beat by slower people who have a better grasp of bike handling and set up. nothing wrong with that, just unfortunate... and good for us fatties with a mtb background. I love my yeti CX bike, so fun when its not freezing outside.

That looks like the ME capstone design projects around here.

Fortunately not all our trails are under water, some are slowly drying out and I ventured into St Louis County today for a nice ride up and back down a river bluff. It's a newer trail that I've never ridden before, turned out to be a blast and I will definitely ride it again. The new fork is fantastically awesome, amazing the difference between decent and shit forks.
That's the Meramec river in the background trying its damnedest to escape the banks. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1370405742 And here's the now submerged island 8 days ago with the MO river ready to devour one of the easiest and yet very fun trails in the area. The lack of any hills makes me feel like a god every time I ride it. Between the flooding and tornado hit I don't expect it to be rideable for a while. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-w...527_120513.jpg |
