Here is my not-so-baller bicycle
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1370408863 A local shop put it together after a guy rebuilt a brand new race bike with a whole set of new parts, so they put all of that stuff on a Surly Pacer frame, and I bought it. Its about that time when it gets unbearable hot down here, so its stuck on the trainer for a a while. |

949 Racing cycling jersey. Good idea. They won't be club cut though. They'll be euro cut. That means tapered. So the free-ride, baggy short guys probably won't want one. If you want a jersey that won't flap in the wind, we'll have you covered. Depending on what they cost, I may start a new thread here for a GB of sorts.
If enough of you guys really want a cheeseburger cut and fork over a deposit, I guess I could be talked into it (bleh). Probably gray mostly, with some big orange graphics somewhere. How about this for a logo: "That is how I ride, flat out." Anybody have the skills to design it and format the file for screen printing? lol @ "cheese-burger cut". |

I'll do the euro-cut if the price is reasonable.
lol @ "cheese-burger cut". Our production date puts jerseys in my shop Aug 20. When I have a mock up of the design I'll add an order page to the website and start a new thread here somewhere. |

Are you happy with them?
Emilio, I'm keen for a race/euro cut one. I'm in a race team already so I'm probably only allowed to use your jersey for training rides but I'm happy to represent 949 'down under'. :giggle: |
What does it mean when I start looking at a map for where to eat lunch and think about how it would be faster to pedal than drive? Am I becoming a hipster ------?
|
I am a little surprised you're not in Austin or Portland yet.

As far as I can see, hipsters only do two things right. Bikes and gastropubs.
|
You're not hipster until you buy this guy's entire catalog. I do like the beer holder though...

Can we talk shorts?
I have 1 cheap pair($45) and 1 really cheap pair($29.99). Is it really worth $50-100 per pair for the nice ones? Can someone break down the whats and whys to high end cycling shorts? |

Bibs.
Try the Falconi Deluxe bibs for some good-quality bibs that won't kill your wallet. LOVE2PEDAL Bicycle Shorts and Cycling Jerseys from Primal, Falconi, |
Bibs are far more comfortable than plain shorts. If you do any long rides, invest in quality bib shorts. Chamois butter is also your friend.
Cheap <$95 bibs don't last very long. The good bibs are usually over $160 (less when on sale) will be more comfortable than cheap ones and last for years. I machne wash in cold water on the gentle cycle. Tumble air dry or on the lowest heat setting. |
I hang my bibs to dry, keeps them from going see through. Bibs are worth it, and price isn't always an indicator of quality. Also, it takes a few hours to wear in a chamois.
I'm going to buy a track bike this weekend. It will never see the street though. |
