Their mid-calf wool padded socks are what I live in during the winter.

I felt so bad for my Bro-in-law this weekend. Cat 2 race started at 9am with no wind, 1 hour in(80 mile race) I see a wind advisory warning on my phone calling for 40 mph winds and gusts up to 55. He said about 90% of the group gave up after the second lap and they were only doing about 10 mph in the flats. There is nothing more demoralizing than a shifting head/cross-wind.

I hate wind. Unpredictable, and unvisible. I much prefer hills which are consistent adversaries, and reward you with a fun decent.

Wind separates the men from the pussies. Don't move to Southern Utah, spring rolls in and that I'd all we get.

Saying that...I mostly mountain bike so I love wind. It cools you down and you are never going fast enough for it to hurt you. Boulders and cacti on the other hand...

picked up most of the rest of the parts for my carbon road bike.

Easton stem
Ultegra chain
Jagwire cables/housings
Ksyrium wheelset
spare tube
presta adapter
Salsa Bar wrap

Just need my pedals, KCNC crank arm bolt and levers to come in (among other trinkets)

in the mail, but not needed to ride:
Ti skewers
carbon bottle cages
Carbon spacers

Cant wait to get the bike together and ride.

EDIT: Tracking says pedals are in. Levers have passed customs, should be here this week.

I plan on it.

Stickers aren't that bad in person and I just read they are reflective.

To be determined. Not a big deal either way.

I plan to remove them.

Not rushing to do it though. Want to get to a place I can use the bike first.

Levers came in. I will be able to finish the mechanics of the bike now.

I did ride it around the street last night.... about a half mile... with no levers and the derailleurs putting me in the small/small rings by default. seems very spirited compared to my old vintage bike. Really excited to ride it for real.

Suicide ride, lol.

I was crushed on last-night's ride, lol. I'm not sure what happened, but the dudes on front unleashed hell. The poverty peloton was angry yesterday.

I (way back) rode bmx.

I know a few ways to stop fast if I really needed to, without brakes.
