It was raining when I picked it up today so I won't likely ride until tomorrow afternoon or Saturday. This replaces my 2009 S-Works Roubaix, that ate a car (laid me up for 3 months). I had no idea how light this Synapse would be. I don't know the numbers, but it felt like the wheels were left off when I first picked it up.
The shop did a great job moving my components over and had me set up perfectly.
I also have a CAAD 5 that is presently set up as a Time Trial bike. I will have to get a picture of it in the daytime. Sorry about the bad pic of the Synapse, but it is hard to get an indoor shot of a black bike.
Trying to get the Miata finished, so it is hard to ride and wrench at the same time.
On that note, I hope to update the build thread this weekend.

I never really thought about this but it is remarkable. that every day schlubs like us can save our pennies and buy the equivalent of F1 technology to ride to work on. Those lurking here that think it's all carbon fluff might feel differently if they could buy a WRC tarmac spec Citroen for autocrossing on the weekends for say, $30k. We can buy a bike that's arguably better than what last years world Champion or Tour de France winner rode for less than $10K.
For those that have never ridden a 16lb 20spd full carbon road bike, go test ride one. Just to see what we're on about.

I rode a TT bike this week. It was okay, I guess. Definitely faster but aero bars scared me. I am scheduled for puberty this year.

Unlike Joe I really dont mind road bike geometry, on the one hand the riding position isnt as comfortable as a cruiser or mtb, but on the other hand no handed riding while holding 2 beers and a bag of ice isnt terrifying because of the geometry (or the being 8 beers deep already part), coming to a stop like that is another story.

edit: Seriously, though... This may be the bikefаg thread, but it's still MT.net. Try to dig your saddle-packed ***** out from within your abdomen and stop taking everything personally. Besides, if you can honestly tell me that you'd be comfortable riding a $10,000 bike to work and leaving it parked outside every day, then I'll (verb.)

Must be a big and powerful guy? The wheels needed to take the force that would break the arms would be outrageous too.
That is, unless the rider is trying to tune the arms to save 10 grams and they broke because of it.
