FWIW, I got a call from Master Card today. A card I had not used in over a year (special introductory card I only used 7 times in one week to get a check for $100 for signing up) got hit 3 times early this morning for $355 for 3 airline tickets to Taiwan.

I started getting those emails when I was in college (about 7 years ago) and decided to go along with one of them. I actually had the guy mail me some stuff and they called me a couple times. I was amazed how patient and persistent they were with it.
