I was so into the K series honda engine running in NA form, cause my friend has one in his 4 door honda civic Si. It has an intake, full exhaust, and a tune. I think it rips pretty good, and if that was in a Miata, it would be great. Then I guess my friend got a wake up call...
He was driving to work the other day and a brand new Cobalt SS was on his ***. He down shifted and stood on it thinking he would pull away, but he told me he looked in his mirror and the Cobalt was right on his bumper and probably could've passed him. So he was all pissed off and googled what a brand new Cobalt SS turbo puts out. 260hp/260ft/lbs??? and they run a 14 flat in the 1/4 STOCK??? I hate the Cobalt's, but those numbers are pretty stout for a bone stock rebadged cavalier with a turbo.

Who was the winner of that magazine shoot out a few years ago? The lotus Elise? Mazda rx8? Oh that's right, it was the cobalt.
I think chevy threw it on the plane with with corvette when they tested at the nurburgring.

Ending results were:
1 Colbalt SS
2 Colbalt SS
3 S2000
Those fugly *** colbalts are quick stock. Pulley, heat exchanger upgrades, programming of factory PCM.. Makes them monsters. As for the turbo cars....... Even more so.

Wowsers. I actually looked at getting one before buying my Forester XT. They were ******* expensive! Especially the turbo ones.
BTW I've whored on several cobalt rental cars before and they handled surprisingly well and were actually kind of fun. If I got a cobalt SS I def would have apply stick-on fender vents.
