The kitten & cat thread
My cousin is the volunteer coordinator for one of the local pet shelters in town. They are having KITTENPALOOZA on the 24th. It is going to be hard for me to go and not leave with 1-25 more kittens.
HA!
Thanks gents. He's pretty cool........and completely kitty insane. He goes from needy to violent to needy at the drop of a hat. I worked from home (at her place) last Friday and he felt the need to be on my shoulder at all times. Would just crawl up my shirt and perch himself like a parrot.

Ditch is a cutie. I usually go for an adult cat, as they are supposed to be harder to place, and I don't want to have to litter train one.
I have been campaigning hard to get another rescue, but the wife is having none of it.

I would tend to agree with that as well. However, we literally found him in a ditch by the side of the road in her tiny lakeside town of 1500 people.

In a surprise, we lost Bailey today to a urinary tract infection that had already gone to his kidneys. He was in pain and the vet said he had an enlarged heart atrium, unbeknownst to us, and would likely not survive the burden of treatment since he was already in pulmonary distress. His breathing was labored. She also said he would not likely survive much longer if he survived the treatment because of the onset of hereditary heart issues. My wife was really close to him. He was her special kitty. He was a good boy.
