Rob what was our discussion on eye boogers? We took pookie in cause they were getting bad. She thinks blocked tear ducts.

That's some perfect feline eyes. Had cats all my life and didn't know that was the cause. Apparently it's common info. (from some website):
While the most common symptom of cat tear duct blockage is the reddish staining alongside the nose, there are several other more subtle symptoms of this condition. A clogged tear duct can cause discharge, crustiness on the eyelids, inflammation or swelling of the eyelids. You may also notice your cat blinking excessively, squinting or rubbing the eyelids or area around the eyes. Vision impairments can also be caused by blocked tear ducts. Generally speaking, there is no nonspecific treatment for blockage of cat tear ducts.
Both of my brothers have issue, Felix is the worst. When we got them, Felix had a horrendous cold that took him forever to get over. Vet basically said the cold has to run its course like with humans and just make sure it doesn't escalate into something else. Just read this:
Upper respiratory infection may cause severe and permanent damage (to the tear ducts) as well.

I have decided that, for today, I'm going to pronounce Scott's name as Scoat (rhymes with goat) for no adequately obvious reason.

Scoat sent me this on FB earlier:

click to play

Which led me to this:

We got a new kitty yesterday when we went to Petco, he's about 1.5 years old. Seems like a sweet guy, but obviously he's freaked out. I started to get worried this morning when I couldn't find him anywhere....then saw this.

He's hiding out in the chimney, girlfriend just left to go get some wet food to help coax him out.

The wet food worked! We opened a can and put it in the fireplace, he came down in just a couple of minutes.

I'm sure the two King Cavaliers aren't helping. He found another impressive hiding spot in the master closet earlier as well. We put up a baby gate over the fireplace after we got him down.

Don't want him to use that as a hiding spot, we want him to find somewhere else.
