Really sorry to hear that. We put down our 18 y/o last fall. It really sucks, but it does help to know that they lived a long and presumably happy life.

We just got back from a long vacation, while it was nice not to have to arrange a cat sitter, the house is pretty empty when there aren't cats around to greet you and demand to know where you've been.

Thx for the thoughts. Was awfully quiet here yesterday. I've worked at home for the last 20 yrs. so we saw a lot of each other. On her last day she came down stairs, walked over to the door and asked to go out. Went for a walk across the yard, laid down in the shade under a shrub for a break, then got up and headed back inside.

today scott has my cats on loan. that's like one cat per 150 square feet.
