The kitten & cat thread
#3928
Over Christmas we visited my long lost family on the other side of the country. They have cats ~ 2 years old we hadn't met yet. Took photos
The bushy tailed nutbag is Freya... not fixed yet so mental. The parentals were hoping for some kittens but there's no male cats around for the job so they'll get her fixed now as she drives everyone nuts.
The big black on is Freya's brother, Loki. Food oriented.
Pink collar is Mia, my sisters cat staying with them awhile.

Down in FL on vacation at my friend's house.
Their cat Max got into a little scuffle with the dog next door. Ended up with one less leg. If anything he's a better cat now. He's moving around amazingly for only a few weeks. Short runs and up and down the stairs all day long.
Cats are so tough.

Sadly, not mine.
I'm coming up on the 1 year mark of receiving allergy shots, targeted at decreasing sensitivity to cats and dogs. So, to judge the effectiveness of the treatment, I spent yesterday at a local rescue, cuddling with as many soft furry things as possible.
Cool place, actually. They have many separate rooms, in which different cat groups who get along with one another are housed. Each room has a big comfy chair for the human, and lots of space and playthings and boxes for the residents.

Sir George:
The whole gang. (Chloe is the tortoise colored one at upper right, who is extremely stand-offish):
