Default Lambo Islero > classic dego > *.lambo

I've become some sort of a vintage racer/classic car guy aparently. I've determined the turbo Miata is the purest affordable driver's car, modern car waist lines are too high, cars are too round and bloated, too heavy, too many features unrelated to operation the vehicle, and they generally have no more sex appeal. Then, I discovered this low, long, sleek, and simple overlooked GT coupe from a few decades ago:

hmmmm....

~

interesting. Similar lines. Both are long, strong, and down to get friction on.

While I've never been in Lambo's target demographic when it comes to finances; I've always admired the Islero more than the flamboyant Miura.

Holy crap, that's one of 125 units built, don't think it's the S version. 325hp V12, 6.7 0-60, 154 top speed.

MMmmmmm.....6 double Dell'Orto carbs and spooky electrics - typical vintage goodness. You had to love them to buy them. I would love it enough.

Besides being beautiful, I'll bet it sounds like pure sex when it's running hard.

This is why I love the E30 M3. It is pure, lightweight, and doesn't have all the electronic crap. The new stuff doesn't really do it for me.

That Lambo's kinda slammed like!

I like the Japanese, German, and English classics.

I would be willing to bet the average schmo would walk right past it to lust after a Ferrari 308GTS like Magnum drove.

I'm in total agreement. I'd give up a lot to have a Miura in my garage.

Same, I'll take the new one though, since it can only get more reliable than the original.

Front reminds me of an FB RX7. Can get one of those for a few grand, and run a single screaming Dellorto. Can also get the same electrical issues, so it's win win.

Way to ***** up my thread with mainstream bullshit, rather than long, obscure, sexy dego rides. I'm loosing my giddyness.
