I was watching Holmes on Homes one time when they were remodeling someones basement..and needless to say, I think some of those pictures came from that house **** was insane, multiple junction boxes to other junction boxes behind multiple layers of drywall, wiring run up the chimney to go from one place to another, wires in junction boxes just twisted together... oh it was a mess.

Did you happen to see the one I'm talking about or was my description too vague?

Exactly why I do everything myself, to avoid Jim Bob ******* my **** up. I loved the multiple exhaust fan to plumbing vent with the vent Y's pointing upward to make it more efficient for the plumbing gases to feed into your exhaust fans when they are turned off.

My tenant once complained of a stagnant water smell coming from the washer-dryer hookups (which they don't use). So we called a handyman out (should have been a plumber, that's who we called next) and his solution...seal the area off with a piece of plywood. Yeah...

Why fix it when you can just hide it and forget about it? That **** drives me crazy. Some people work harder at trying to get out of work than they would if they would just go ahead and do what they need to do to get a job done.

Belive so... and the water heater vent was plummed into the chimney as well (before renovations).
