Losing a brother
#22
I'm really sorry to hear about your brother, and sorry that a man who has apparently fought to live every day of his life to the fullest has to see the last ones spent this way. I can't imagine losing my brother, but lost my father at the age of 16. The only consolation I had then was that he had been missing for a while so everyone had accepted his passing and mourned, and the funeral reception was a lot more of us telling our favorite stories and talking about him. It's hard to do, but great men deserve not to just be mourned and missed, but have their lives celebrated by those whose lives they were a part of.

Sorry to hear about your brother, it is sometimes hard to accept God's plan, but it sounds like he lived a good life and will leave a positive imprint behind. A very close family friend lost their daughter to cancer in August just before her 8th birthday. The mother is the girl everyone wanted my brother to marry and our families grew up camping and hunting together, so it hit me pretty hard. My dad had some close calls last year as well with a couple falls.
And after reading this it only reinforces the fact I should get checked out. I have been having worsening headaches lately, sometimes for 3 days straight. Plus my concentration has diminished for school and reading. Being only 31 I try not to think about the bad things in life, but am very aware of the "what ifs".

zoomin: See a Dr. insist on a CT scan at the very least. From there a physician will make the decision to monitor your symptoms or follow up with and MRI possibly PET. Due to the time of year if you really feel something is not right. Do not let the Dr. tell you that it is just allergies. You know your body better than anyone. Early detection for ANYTHING is key.
