m.net is up and down more than Tom's yo-yo
Totally Emilio's fault that the miata lacks power in the N/A form. We could also listen to sjmarcy argue about "throttle response" and how turbo cars could possibly maaayybe suck at it and that is why N/A is superior. Apparently wheel spin in 2nd gear is the turbo's fault, not the driver who hammered the throttle.
When you guys have a 39th place trophy plaque certificate of participation on display on your mantle, then we'll talk. Until then, keep your mouths shut and enjoy getting lapped by ME as I pass your slow-***, unresponsive 350whp lagwagons.

M.net's setup is a little larger than your roommate's FTP server, though. It's multiple servers, multiple data lines, and an automatic no-interrupt generator for power failures.
Just about the only thing that can knock the site out is if something really big happened, like a tree falling on all of the data lines. :P

Any hosting service that goes down due to a tree falling is not a service really...
Doesn't matter how many servers you have, you are only as strong as your weakest link - in this case, above ground data transmission. Gary should really be considering a real solution, something surrounded by concrete, multiple links (and not T1's) and the rest of the normal options that come with a proper facility.
