This same MS Removal garbage infected my mom's new Win7 dell she got 2 weeks ago. Sucks. Good luck fixing it, MT.net to the rescue!

LOL! Actually I searched for "hydrogen principles" and a pop-up came up. Now I have to deal with this ****.
I was actually wondering why it took 22 posts for someone to talk about **** though!

FWIW, the first thing I install on any new PC is AVG and spybot. That will usually keep everything safe.

alt-f4 is your friend. those damn popups that pretend to be a virus scan suck...you click close and that allows it to install.

I used to be a huge AVG fan until I kept reading everywhere that it is a big, bloated resource hog and doesn't work as well as microsoft security essentials--which is lighter weight and doesn't make your **** slow to a crawl.

I used AVG free edition and ran it in safe mode, which only allows it to scan via command prompt. It seems to have worked as my computer is now running in normal mode without any issues.
Thanks for your help guys!

This is one thing I love about Google chrome. On the few occasions when I've found myself in the situation where you can't close a tab until you exit a dialog box, and killing the box causes an automatic respawn, you can just pull up Chrome's task manager (shift-esc) and kill the specific tab that's causing the problem.
