KTM bought husky a number of years ago, and all the ktm tech is now available in the huskys. Not sure about the street bikes because im not about that life, but the new husky dirt models are the hot **** in the offroad scene right now.

Had a pretty epic trip home. Flew into Portland Friday night, had dinner with some friends and Aidan , drove down to albany. stayed with a friend that night then the seller picked me up Saturday morning to get my bike. Ran into a biker group on the way out of town, including SalemCBR, a youtube dude that has some pretty entertaining videos.
Headed for Bend. First time in Bend... yeah I really like that place. Deschutes brewery flight with fish and chips, some chill time, then back on the road.
Rode all evening and got about 10 miles from the Nevada border, and the rain hit. So, so miserable. Finally got to a town and found these poor ******* huddled under an abandon gas station awning.
Waited until about 10:45 that night for the rain to let up, then rode an hour to the nearest hotel with a vacancy. Turns out, there was a bike rally there in Winnemucca, so I had the privilege of paying over $130 for what is really a $65 room. Yay.
The next morning had some rain, but found took a bit of a detour and found some pretty great scenery, and some fun dirt roads. Ended up spending about 50 miles on dirt roads, and another 20 on a twisty, super patchy paved road -- perfect for this bike.
That was easily the longest ride I'd ever been on, but the bike handled it great -- didn't even feel saddle sore til the very end. Could use some more wind protection but overall very very happy.

The front tire on this bike was smoked when I got it, and after almost 1000 miles it was way past done. Feathered badly and worn. I picked up some Shinko 705's and installed them at the shop on Monday morning. Don't judge - it's basically those or TKC 80's in my size, and not a fan of the TKC's.
Once finished, we headed for Jacob's lake and then to the north rim of the Grand Canyon. So, so stunning. Dad drove his Miata, and a friend of mine who just got a 2016 R1200GSA (who actually spurred me getting a bike again, so we can go adventure touring).
That spot is about a 2.5 hour drive from my house. Will definitely be back. There's a little cafe right next to it where you can buy a beer or snack, then walk out to this view.

Camped out at Unadilla NY for MX Rewind, got my 99 KX250 and 85 KX125 here with an xr50 to scoot around the pits on. Surrounded by french speaking canucks and some long islanders. A diverse bunch. Got some masshole and new Jersey buddies coming out tomorrow, will watch vintage scrambles and trials tomorrow and I race saturday ans sunday on the kwaks. Great event. get to race on the pro track which is usually off limits. Most of the guys are old farts who have to work on monday, not some 14 year old squirrel who doesn't have to pay their own health insurance and thinks they will be the next James Stewart who cleans you out trying to win practice. Not that that has happened to me or anything

fireindc , now you definitely need to come out this way. Zion national park, ride twinner Buells, and go off roading.
Do it.
Do it.
Been riding the **** outta mine! I love riding it and I always go for it over my other bikes, so it gets the most miles. 44,000 and counting, and pulls stronger than ever now that I've been tweaking with it.
Newest mods are pro-taper "adventure" fat bars (1" bars), diesel moto bar 1" adapter/risers, trex case sliders, 5-0 dro axle sliders (not pictured).
Bike is currently running a KN filter, hawk exhaust, EBR "hawk" tune flashed via Buelltooth dongle, and now I'm running the baro sensor kit from Bueltooth. Adds barometric pressure sensing, basically allowing you to lock the ECU open loop ignoring the nbo2 sensor that keeps the bike stoich for emissions reasons, and allows me to increase the base "AFV' value of the bike to richen out the map, all while keeping altitude correction. Basically it lets the bike run overall a tad bid richer while retaining proper altitude compensation. So far I've had it down to 4800ft and up to 10,000 feet and it's working flawlessly. Much better tuning than the stock setup with more power and cooler operating temps all around.

Anyone interested in my '04 Buell Xb12r with about 7k miles on it? It has the factory race exhaust and steering damper. There is also a full fiberglass racing fender kit that comes with it. As evidenced by the miles, I don't drive it very much but I keep the battery on a tender so that is still in great shape. The only thing currently "wrong" with it is that the stock red plastics were painted black except for the stock tail because the fiberglass tail was installed and painted black. I also plastidipped it white so it was all one color with the stock plastics but I was going to remove that myself.

Sold my FZ-09 to a good friend last summer and picked up one of the 2018 Street Triple RS with the new 765cc motor. What a machine, everything out of the box works so well I haven't touched it other than tweaking with suspension settings.
I've ridden a few Shinko tires, they are not all bad and stupid cheap.

All of this and more, I've honestly never had a bike that is this refined or good. The brakes are unreal for this class of bike, Brembo M50s give it more braking capabilities than I thought imaginable. I am the weakest link when it comes to riding it. Even the stock exhaust is perfect, 1 year later I still have zero desire to change it.

A couple pics of my RC51 I bought a couple years ago. I live under an hour from the NY safety track so convinced myself it would be a great idea to buy. last year I rode it once, and within 10 mins I saw 98mph on the clock and I really don't need to be deported. Sounds great, looks tough as **** and is fun to ride for about 30 mins til your knees and hips seize up.
Vid there of it making angry noises on the trailer on teh way home with it when I bought it.
I had to de-spode it, it had LED lights in teh fairings and a lowering link, and no fairing stay, rear turn signals removed. Hindsight says i should have bought a cleaner one.
Anyways, think it will be going down the road and sinking the money into the homomobile instead as I need a turbo on it.
I have another 9 bikes anyways so getting rid of the killy one won;t hurt I guess. Will post some pics later.
