Sorry I couldn't resist... and you'll just have to look at my car a little longer.

I'm the one that started the thread by saying miatas are better than my escort and that I'm going to buy one. I don't think you need to go out of your way to convince me

I know a guy with a gutted festiva and a nitroused BP. It's a pretty intense little car

Jesus ******* christ are you being serious? If you have any hope of lasting here more than a week you need to step back from the keyboard and remove that stick from your *** and chill out. If you think a mod is going to help you out you have another thing coming ... beware people can get creative around here.

How many are people are running STS in your region?

Eh, I am thinking I am going to sell mine... The escort GT (and I was being serious before) can be a sleeper and quite an evil foe on the Auto-x circuit because you can dial in a crazy amount of camber on them.

I just didn't want that argument to spread to another thread and clutter it up.

Participants vary from race to race, but normally 15-20 cars until the end of the season, where there were less but they were all serious people.

Yeah, I got about 2 degrees of negative camber out of the back just from lowering it with the ground controls. As far as the front, you NEED camber plates to a reasonable amount (around -3). I don't think one can win nationally in STS but maybe in FSP where it can have an LSD and shorter diameter tires (slicks).

Also the car could be lighter for the tire it can fit in STS trim, the biggest basically being 205's and the weight being just about 2300#. The civic hatches on the same tires weigh 300+# less :(
