Default My beater daily sounds better than my miata...*sigh*

I think I'm off a tooth on the timing though...either that or its just not sparking right...but they idle weird anyway.

I've come to the conclusion that I need paint and more turboz for the miata...stat.

i'm sure most people on here will disagree, but i love the sound of most vw engines. and the inline 5 audi's are just pure sex.

Is that a naturally aspirated miata?

Mine sounds good with the turbo on it and exhaust...of course, it has 2 resonators and a muffler so you can't really hear too much.

I think my Miata sounds better than my VR6, though the Duc is nice too.

does the vr6 have stock exhaust?

i'm no vr6 fanboy, in fact i have never owned one and don't really plan on it...but i think they are pretty nice engines.

edit: just noticed you have a monster too. i officially hate you.

Its a N/A miata, waiting on a downpipe and it should be good to go. It also ought to sound sick with the turbo to quiet it down and a full 2.5" downpipe to get rid of the massive pipe size gap from the header to the full 2.5" exhaust...x.X lol

The exhaust on the miata is catless, single 14" straight through resonator and a dynomax 'super turbo' but, it was like $100 setup, should at least be quieter post boost.

I love the sound of a good vr6 w/ a slight cam and exhaust...dear god.

Thats a stock mid pipe with mufflers deleted on the s2k...

it sounded sick. still looked like mostly stock tips too.

Yeah the GTI is basically stock and I plan to keep it that way. I don't want a droning exhaust for the 4 hr drive between home and school, though I do enjoy listening to modded VR6's. The Monster has cf Remus cans on it though.

The exhaust leak on the miata is glorious...it shoots fireballs on decel around 5200 rpms after beating on it.

I'd be willing to bet a few exhaust valves aren't up for their jobs anymore either.

my current car shot flames when i first got it. it wasn't running anywhere near as well as it does now though. during my maiden drive to nj i passed a prius driver only to look in my rear view and see them waving their hand in front of their face, like i didn't smell good or something.

Mine runs fine, just has a nasty exhaust leak that needs to be fixed. Eventually.
