Default My first Youtube video, dual burnout

I did my first miata/manual burnout earlier in the day. I have a video of that one too that I may upload later after I figure out how to edit out fluff. Anyways I thought this video was cool w/o editing:

Ha cool. Did the same thing (well with out the bike) when I installed my Torsen last week. Didn't take it to that extreme though.

Chicks in the video sound hot.

Tires were installed just for the occasion, some old allseason Goodyears. I planned on popping them but the po-po came and gave me 2 points for the attempt.

Chick filming was my wife.

Would've been funny if one of you messed up with the brakes, either way you'd have had an unexpected passenger.

No actually that would have been funny. hahaha.

I have a pic of the car-behind-me's hood. Oops.

Dirtbike wasn't using brakes anyways. He needed to butt up against my bumper otherwise he'd just plow the front tire. he still had to get all his weight forward.

That's what I mean, the damage would've sucked but having an upsidedown passenger would've been hilarious.

Nice burnout :-) What fogs are you using ? My NB fogs are going to be cooling vents and need to find a pair of fogs to mount in the nose, those look pretty clean.

Ahh yeah ok I misread your post.

Thanks. The fogs are 4" round H4-bulb headlamps (low AND high beam, so I basically run 4 headlights) for custom streetbikes. I have only found one place in the US that sells them online, but they are inexpensive and the lenses basically suck. Just a spot light, which is cool for lighting up the road way ahead of you but not good if you don't want to **** off people in front of you. But I say fuckit, everyone's headlights are in our eyes cause our Miatas are low, I'm just reciprocating.

In the video I have just the marker lights on; in the fog/headlight there's also a mount for those spade style instrument cluster/interior light bulbs.

kool vid.

I did some 'power' donuts when i got my torsen installed.

Ok silly question time. How do you do a burn out in a miata without getting that horrenndous clutch burning smell.

Left foot on clutch. Right foot on brake and gas pedal. Rev engine release clutch rapidly and completely. Once the tires start a spinning and the boost comes on let up on the brake some. Enjoy the smoke.

Right. Heel of right foot on brake, toe of right foot on gas. It didn't take much brake to hold the car, but I was running sorta hard narrow tires. Back brake rotors were a little discolored around the edges.

I don't dump my clutch ever, just release it quickly and make sure you're at an RPM that has enough torque to easily break the tires loose.

2 stage rev limit triggered by clutch switch helps too, just be sure to release the clutch all the way as the OEM clutch switch triggers almost all the way up.

I tried to shift into 2nd but couldn't get the timing right.
