Yup. Since everyone thinks we should have guns available why do they need to be semi/auto?

Your right. Full auto is better!

What's the alternative you want? Bolt action only?

Default guns

Well not all of us live in rich neiborhoods with security. And second of all if I wanted someone dead I would do it with or without a gun. But no one is worth going to jail over in my opinion.
But as far as guns go, If you ban them, the criminals will have one and the good people won't. I can go to lowes and make a single shot pipe gun in less than two mins. If you wanna know PM me.
Anyways I don't think all the killings have to do with guns, It is due to **** heads.
All it would take to stop these school killings is a few of them get capped on the spot instead of looking like marters to other dummys after they kill themselves......

I went hunting safely with a gun at six years old. Everyone should be schooled on a gun. As soon as my nephews were old enough to ask about the guns I started training. The guns are boring to them now they don't even look at them. When people are not trained is when someone is hurt. And if you have young company, lock the guns up in the cabinet.

Anyways I don't carry a gun on me, I am too hot headed. If I know the area is that bad I won't go there either.

Default 80lbs Dog

The best thing for your house is a watch dog. Alot of rift raft moved into my apartment complex after Katrina. One guy tried to mug me. I guess he thought my cholate Lab wouldn't do anything. She may love kids, but she jumped straight for his neck snaping jaws. I didn't think she would be that protective either, but I seen she can come alive to protect us.

I moved, but while I was there no one broke into my apt. LOL

This is why I love labs...sweetest animals on earth...but they have a don't **** with me or my owner attitude, and are usually big enough to back it up.

This reasoning has never seemed accurate to me. Don't we have way more gun violence here than in countries that outlaw guns or severely restrict them? You don't here of criminals going buck wild through the streets. I think the deterent has never been a homeowner with a gun, but rather the police and jailtime.
Also in this country I think (I don't have the stats, maybe I'll look, I'd be interested to know) the gun violence is rarely a criminal shooting an innocent person but more often than not it is violence between criminals or violence between family members. My point is if guns were outlawed (not saying they should necessarily, it's a complicated issue) I really, really doubt you'd see a surge in gun related violence.

Really, so you think its a good idea that only people breaking the law will bring guns on campus? Do you realize how stupid that sounds?!?!

Mark

PS - If you think the home owner with a gun isn't a deterent, you haven't lived in Texas.

And it could have been..Like VA Tech
Right, so if an off-duty cop taking a class had been carrying and shot the guy with the gun... that would have been like having superpowers?!?

Come on now. If I have a weapon and someone comes into a room with 2 pistols and a shotgun, it doesn't take superpowers to shoot the person. How many times do random killings like this happen in police stations??? Ummm Never. Why? Cause everyone knows all the cops have guns. Duh!

Mark

PS - Yes, I have a CHL and I carry when I can legally. So does that mean I have superpowers too?

I have a CHL. I've been through training to recieve it. I'm with the training that I've recieved that I can diffuse violence or impending violence with my training. Not everyone in TX has a CHL, and not every person in the state carries a gun.

IF someone in a group is carrying, then there's a penalty for the crazy person squeezing off rounds into the crowd.

When was the last time you heard about a guy going crazy at a gun store or range and killing everyone? If someone did flip out and kill everyone, sane people would neutralize the sittuation.

Again making **** up. If superman at been there he could have reversed the spin of the earth and stopped the shooting from the beginning.

Its irrelevant

Or not have any guns that can fire more than one round per minute, and then everyone is happy.
Oh and all have to be long guns

Does that not solve the problem?

No, because those who don't care what the law is will create weapons with a higher fire rate. Classic gun control debate.

I much prefer stress out students NOT to be armed. Ya that sounds stupid. Give me a break, just because the Government will allow people to get a carry permit doesn't instantly make the people carrying them more responsible.

I haven't lived in Texas no, and don't really care to. My comments about firearms are directly related to where I do live. A bazooka wouldn't have been a deterrent to the guy that broke into my house, he was so fucked up he didn't have a clue. The only result would have been me killing someone who made a stupid mistake. Not really what I want to get into.

And I absolutely 100% do believe that my work place is safer with out 30,000 students (most who are retards) aren't armed. We've not had any shootings on campus. Minor property crime and public drunkeness are the norm. So how will arming a largely immature student body make it safer than it already is? Oh wait, it won't because you are talking out of your ***. **** out campus security only carry pepper spray (to which I thank god, since they are a bunch of idiots too).

IF someone in a group is carrying, then there's a penalty for the crazy person squeezing off rounds into the crowd.
I know this is what Hustler said, but I'm sure you agree with this.

This maybe true of someone that is intending to live out there little mass murder, but how many of these guys end up shooting themselves in the head as an ending to their little show? Nobody involved in these shootings intends to live beyond running out of bullets.

Justify your position anyway you want, I'm not drinking the kool-aid.

First step towards fixing things. Instant death penalty for crimes committed with a firearm. Rob a bank with a firearm, next stop the gas chamber. Point your gun at someone in anger, yep lethal injection. Carry drugs in your car and happen to have a sawed off shotgun in the trunk? March on up the gallows. Smoking reefer with a glock in your wasteband? Firing squad.

Draconian yes, effective for sure.

gun laws are only for honest people. the criminals dont give a **** about any laws. more gun laws are not going to do a damn thing. but more people armed could help because if a criminal knows you are packing, they are less likely to do something.
