Even with safe search off I still can't see ****, and for that reason im forced to use bing image search.
Also, the chevy V6 may work better for swaps then the ford b/c it looks to be a OHV design, whereas im guessing the ford is a overhead cam engine, and thus wider and taller then the gm 4.6.

Im really amazed nobody has tried it yet. If I ever get another Miata I think I would seriously consider it.
Not sure what the oil pan situation is like though.

LOL @ guys comparing the new 4.3 V6 with the one in the old S-10's. Not even in the same realm guys. The new 4.3 would really be a sweet, sweet motor, and it's going to make an awesome base engine in the pickups that will put the DOHC mills from Ford and Ram to shame.
Not hangin' on GM's ***** here but it's really impressive what they've done with that motor.

The 4.3 makes 285 HP and 305 lb ft. Check the power @ rpm and torque vs. HP numbers and tell me which one is the best truck engine.

Forget the V6's, the 2.0L ecoboost 4 cyl is more compact, idk what type of engine management you'd use for a direct injection engine.

Steps for best Miata swap:
1) remove truck engine.
2) modify subframe.
3) install truck engine.
But seriously, you guys are thinking too big. I'd go with the 3-cyl 1L ecoboost. With a larger turbo from the 1.6 version, it made 200hp in the formula ford they put it in. They are coming to the US in 2014 supposedly.
