for a roots dyi i would think youd need the unit itself and a way to move the tb infront of it and run a tube to the intake and figure out a way to use a power steering pully or ac compressor pully to power it. it accually would have less clutter i would imagine than alot of turbocharging setups out there. i believe roots dont require oil plumbing and already have a bypass valve built in. not too many options i dont think of the accual units but the popular ones arnt bad at all. thatd be kinda fun accually.

dont mean to be an ***, just trying to get a point across on my previous posts. i have been told the same thing i typed and i never took offense to it. im not the greatest at getting my points across by typing. but it is frustrating seeing people throwing money at their cars. you arnt doing that but your plans kinda lent itself to that kind of thinking.

i think when i tried to make a parts list i foudn alot of roots from 300-600 in great condition and i could machine out most of the flanges i needed. i just never could figure out a good way to run the belts. if you got friends in a machine shop and can run a tube to your intake manifold i would say doing this under 800 is incredibly easy.

Best luck with your supercharger and get that carbon fiber hardtop built just to show em'!

But he's got a bit of a point. Did you do ANY reading before firing off your first post? I don't think this is a fundamentally anti-supercharge place to come, but you have to think given the name that information about supercharging your miata would be a little light at miataTURBO.net.

You do know that doing research isn't just asking questions on the first forum you come accross right?
+1 Its his site guys we can tell him how we feel but his actions will always be his decision, and we are all here by his permision. in the end.

what I could do is force the noobs into a special forum until they get 10 posts but then people will just post 10 times to get out, it's futile.
