My dad has a non- AMG one of these and it is very torquey. I bet they have some crazy trbo witchcraft going on to make a big *** powerband.

I would buy one used if it wasn't a mercedes. I like my electronics to continue working as the car ages.

If you want very high specific output and maintenance bills for totally off-the-wall stuff:

Ditch family/friends/whatever impedance makes you 'need' a 4 door.
Buy the Alfa 4C for the same price.
Enjoy the spiritual successor to the Elise, with all the charm of exploding schnitzen-gruben parts made by 3rd world slaves overseen by Italian communists.

Or just buy an STI and do a mild turbo upgrade. Hell just do comprehensive bolt-ons. The end.
