Started early this morning by sending a private message and postin that a pm was sent. I am livid.

chasing the ls1 dream ahaha. I have no pictures on me i can email you some tonight when i get home.
Like I said I have it tapped for the IAT sensor on the cold side. Whats your email so i can send you them.

Him: I just received a paypal for 230 I thought that may have been you. Id u can better that offer I will decline his offer
since I don't know who he is.


Me: I will send you 235, but not real happy about it. I feel I should have been given the opportunity to get
home from work and send you the funds. It is not about the money, it's about what is fair.
Let me know and I will send you the money.

Him: Well someone randomly sent the money so its not about fair on my end.


Him: I took his bid on it just for the fact paypal direct deposited it already sorry about your luck man
hopefully another one comes up for you.

Lame. Should have just said something along the lines of:

"Sale pending right now, will let you know what happens" instead of "I have an offer of $225, better it?"...

But hey, some people just weren't born with integrity in their salesmanship and just look for the extra buck. Sorry about your loss.

Yep. Not good selling practice, but not anything more than that. If I want something bad, I send a deposit/payment ASAP.

 

While the seller is kind of a d-bag, please do not go and crap all over his thread.

 

I agree. Either it's cause I'm an *** or because i've gotten stung a few times in the past form people who are all "yeah yeah I want it hold it for me I'll get you the money asap" w/o a deposit then eventually disappear...but the first person to get me money gets the part.

 

That's cool if you tell the buyer that. But if tell the buyer it's a deal, then sell it to someone else - that's crap.

Along those lines, I've done Paypal payments to craigslist sellers so I could lock in the purchase before I could get there with the cash.

 

I agree that dibs are worth jack ****. I've gotten flaked on before too and don't do dibs anymore.

But in this case it seems that the guy was at work, possibly with no internet access or access to paypal. They AGREED on a deal and that payment was to be sent that evening. So seller is a douchebag for sure.

Oh well....

it's happened to me both with flakers that dont pay after we agree on a price and with sellers that sell the item after we agree on a price.

 

step 1. register generic username on CR
step 2. have constant firesales
step 3. ???
step 4. PROFIT

 

I thought about chaning the paypal address for subscriptions here to my paypal address and not telling rick, or giving access.

 

Well since it is clearly sold, the thread should be closed and marked as sold.

 

It is rare now a days to find someone that will stick to there word. I personally would not have done this in any way. For example I sold a car last year to a guy for $850. It went like this guy A was on his way to look at he car and said I have the money I am on the way to buy it but I am an hour and a half away. I had another guy lined up to look at it after this guy if he fell threw guy b. Guy be was supposed to wait for my call to come by he only lived 10 min from me. Guy b shows up 2 hrs. early and says I want to buy the car I have $1000 cash. Call me old fashion or dumb but I told him I have to wait to make sure the other guy A does not want the car. needless to say I sold the car to guy A for $850 and the other guy called me everything under the sun and I am dumb and all this. I felt I made a fair decision but I know plenty of people that would have take the $1000 and said screw the other guy. It happens all the time.
