So I don't have a radio in my '95. I've had a black piece of ABS plastic in the hole for a while and even though it looked good, it was boring. So I decided that cutting up an old license plate (from the last turbo miata; 98 RWHP) and putting that in the place of the plain black blanking plate I made would be a good idea. I'm not too sure I like it, looks kinda gay, I'm going to leave it for a day or two and see if it grows on me and then pull it out to put the old plate back in. Yes you just wasted a minute of your life for no reason, no I can not give you that minute or your click back .

You sound like a lying toolbag. (See quote)
Seriously....use your time to actually do something. Get off mt.net for a day and try doing a actual "mod". Threadjacking / being a ------ all day and night isn't impressing anyone.
And -1 on taking out the radio. Its not the cool thing to do....it looks ******* stupid and you have no music. Mods make the car better in some way....not worse.

And I don't need a radio in a car where every moment is spent relishing "driving for driving's sake".

Ehh, it's out flat black cover is back in, I thought it looked pretty funny so i would share how stupid it was..title should have scared you away if you didn't want to be annoyed. Brain, it was straight, picture was taken at an angle by a cell phone...
I took my radio out because i had a blown stock speaker and a stock radio that didn't pick up half the channels and obviously had no cd player. I've got an explorer with a/c, p/s, and about $2,500 worth of stereo equipment, as well as about 2K worth of stereo equipment in my house, if I want to listen to music I can listen to it there. I happen to enjoy the sound of my car going through back roads (which is where I drive 90% of the time.)

Well, I'm doing just enough side work for my stepdad's irrigation company right now to pay bills. Just got accepted into the Air Force and I'm in the DEP (delayed entry program) I'm using my time to get ready physically for the military. Necessary? no probably not because, after all it is just the Air Force. On the other hand, I'm making just enough money to pay bills and using the rest of my time to help improve myself..thus I have no $$ to spend on "actual mods" right now. I have manged to completely turn my interior around by trading stuff lately however (new momo wheels, new seats, shift **** in the mail) So not too bad for barely working if I don't say so myself.
