Default Outdoor movie/camping success!

I've had the 16'x9' screen for years, but kids are just old enough to be able to stay up late enough to make it worth it. Frame is 2x4's, really simple to assemble and very stiff, still need to paint it black. Sound is a Harbinger M60... highly recommended for stuff like this. It was $200 at Guitar Center (cheaper on sale)...PLENTY loud enough (only needed about 50% volume) and met my expectations for sound quality.

We watched "Book of Life" and nobody fell asleep. Neighbors minds blown at the whole thing. Trying to figure out what to watch this Friday.

There are different ways to skin the cat with the screen... bedsheet will do in a pinch. I bought a premade screen of blackout cloth from www.carlofet.com Popular DIY frames are made from 1" EMT, PVC, and 2x4's. 2x4's are cheap, stiff, and not exactly heavy... 2 dudes will be needed to erect the one I made, but putting it together is a 1-man job with just 6x 3/8ths bolts and wingnuts. If you can find 20" 2x4's good on you. Home Depot only had 14', so I just screwed a couple feet to each end, works great. Ball-bungies are the only way to go for securing the screen to the frame.

We can get crazy mosquito problems here and it gets worse at night. Looks awesome.

Just excellent. We get major bugs, too, but I'd find a solution if we had that in the neighborhood. Like a drive-in where you can walk. The kids will remember it forever.
